Caroline Atieno Ombok holds a PhD in Medical Anthropology from Moi University (2022), an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nairobi (2011), and a BA in Communication and Sociology from the University of Nairobi (2007). Her career includes clinical/social-work psychology practice at Kenyatta National Hospital and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, and supervisory work on Kenya's Malaria Indicator Survey for the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.

Grants & funding experience

Worked (2010) as a Social Worker/Clinical Psychology Practitioner on the KNH-GBV Project, funded by USAID/APHIA II via Pathfinder; supervised the government-run Kenya Malaria Indicator Survey (KNBS/DOMC).

Current ongoing work

Most recent publication (Dec 2024) examines cultural perspectives on mental-illness care-seeking in Uasin Gishu County, indicating this remains an active research line.
