Grants & funding experience
Has mobilised and influenced over USD 6.5 million in donor and philanthropic funding across the education, health, research and social impact sectors, and supported the acquisition of more than 10 major grant awards. Led the end-to-end pre-award process for institutional grants at AMPATH Kenya (2013–2018), coordinating proposal development, donor engagement, compliance review, budgeting and contract negotiation for donor-funded health, research and community programmes. Established Kabarak University's Resource Mobilization Department as its pioneer head (2018–2020), building its fundraising policies, governance frameworks and donor-management systems from scratch. Has mobilised over USD 1.5 million at Kakenya's Dream since 2024. Trained in USAID Grants & Cooperative Agreements and CDC Kenya Grants Management (2016).
Current ongoing work
Chief Resource Mobilization Manager at Kakenya's Dream since May 2024, leading institutional fundraising, partnership and sustainability strategy as a member of the senior leadership team. Board Member of the Center for Health, Economic & Social Justice (since 2016) and of Kamagut High School, Eldoret (since 2025); previously Secretary to the Management Board of the East Africa Centre for Vaccines and Immunization (ECAVI), 2015–2023, where he served as volunteer Grants Manager. Global Fellow, The NGO Whisperer® Centre for Social Impact (2026).
